Thirty-one houses. Five of them here.
Most of our work is private and stays that way. These five are shown with the owners’ permission and cover the range — a house on a narrow plot, one on a hill, a studio, a corner in Goa, and a flat stripped back.
The Long Room
Five openings at one rhythm, and a travertine floor that carries them the length of the room.
Two Court House
A long plastered house held open at both ends, so the day crosses it twice.
Upper Rooms
An apartment stripped back to three materials and one long view through it.
Section House
One room, three levels, and a stair that is also the furniture.
Corner House
Two walls of shutters on a street corner, and a room that opens entirely.
